Slashfood’s Blondies (without the Heath Bar)

I found the most AMAZING, SIMPLE, and DELICIOUS recipe for Blondie’s on Slashfood’s site.

You. Must. Try. It. Out.

Slashfood posted the recipe right before the Superbowl for a party friendly treat. Their recipe called for Heath Bar’s, but we didn’t have any heath bars at home and I didn’t feel like going to the store, so I improvised. Instead of using the Heath Bar, I went old school and used a left over Hershey’s Symphony Bar (chopped up finely) and mixed that in with good, old Nestle Toll House Mini Morsels. That is, the first day I did this. The next day (Super Bowl Sunday) I made them AGAIN, because they were SOOOO good. We chowed down on them while watching the Giants beat the Patriots.

I am telling you,….

Basic Ingredients: Flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, brown sugar, butter, egg, vanilla, Chocolate of your choosing.

Fast: These took, at the most, 10 minutes to whip up. They then only baked for about 20 minutes.

Mouth Watering: The first night we had them warm with Haagen Daaz’s, sticky toffee pudding icecream, on top (and chocolate syrup for me),…wonderful! The next night we ate them as they were. And I do believe there was one guy who, while J and I observed, ate one after another, totaling about 7 squares in all!!

So, as you can see, they are good, my friends. Try them out and if you are not happy, I’m sure I can find someone else who will be more than happy to take them from you!!!
