Juice Glasses

May 17, 2008

J has been working up in L.A. a lot lately. I try to go up with him as much as I can when he does… being in L.A. doesn’t bother me one bit (except for the constant, traffic part!).

The regular joke is that when he goes up to L.A., we never know if it’s fully worth it. L.A., to me, equals lots of shopping and sightseeing, while he’s working all day long. Lots of shopping and sightseeing means lots of money going out of the old bank account. We’re not sure if the money going out equals the money coming in, through his work. Ha ha… it’s not as bad as it sounds and I do find deals. Yes, I do…

One of my favorite things to do, when traveling around L.A., is stopping at the most wonderful thrift shop ever… St. Vincent De Paul. I love that place. I always find something there… a little treasure of some sort.

On my last visit, I found these cute juice glasses.

Aren’t they precious? I’m telling myself they’re vintage…that’s what I like to believe, at least. They seem so much cooler that way. Rather than them being made in China last year and finding out they were over produced and eventually sold at the dollar store. Yes,…telling myself they are vintage is just way cooler.

All I can figure out is that they say “FG” on the bottom of the glass and “Indonesia”. I did find one site online that makes me think “FG” may mean “FG Lighthouse”, which makes Pyrex dishes, but still not sure.

What I do know is that I love these and am very content with sipping on them, while sitting out on our balcony, in this beautiful San Diego weather.
