How does your garden grow?

Wow,… I’ve been gone for a while. I had been so proud of myself for posting every other day, even in the midst of traveling and moving, but here I am finally making a post and it’s been 5 days!

I’m sorry,… things have just been so busy, but I am happy to say that they are beginning to calm down. We’ve moved into our new place. HOORAY! And, we’ve almost unpacked all of our boxes. Almost, that is.

One of the hardest things I’ve found in moving into our new place is figuring out how to arrange our furniture. I can’t be sure how I want things, so then I just sit and do nothing, leaving the sofa in the middle of the living room. It’s like there’s this huge commitment in my mind…once I put something somewhere, I don’t want to have to move it again. And, once you put a bookshelf where you think it belongs, you then pile it high with books and then, what happens when you decide it doesn’t look good there anymore?! It’s too heavy to move with all those books on it and I’m too lazy to take all the books out all over again to move the bookshelf.

Ahh,..what to do? You’d think I wouldn’t have this problem, being that my mother was known for constantly moving our furniture around. Switching the living room to the dining room and back…needless to say at 12 o’ clock in the morning. Ahh well,… I wish she were here on the west coast to help me arrange things. Can you please fly out here, Mom? Pretty please?

I can’t complain one bit though, we are loving our place. Did I mention there’s a lovely garden in the back? Complete with cherry tomatoes,…

a plum tree,…

and strawberries! Well,..like 5, but still!!!

Fresh herbs too! I’m very excited about this,..I’ve always dreamed of having a garden and now we have one right in our back yard!!

Beautiful photos, Lyd…and might I add that I feel so honored to be mentioned on your post! Yes, I do love to move things around, but haven’t been too motivated in recent years here at home…no one to tell me how nice it looks, no one to get excited about it anymore :( … wish I could have come out before Seth…maybe it will happen…have to talk to Dad, and pray, and find a good deal on air travel…and a way to get off a few days…love you, Lyddie!!!

Fresh herbs…yum. Glad the move’s going smoothly, and I’m sure you’ll figure out your furniture before too long. :-)
