Just tried out a recipe for Granola Bars from Smitten Kitchen. Oh my, oh my…YUM!

I do solemnly swear to NEVER buy granola bars from the grocery store ever again (sorry Quaker Oats).

Easy to make (just a few simple steps), easy ingredients (oats, honey, nuts, dried fruit, with the addition of chocolate chips for me, of course) and easy to eat (not sure if it’s healthy for us anymore, considering we’ve eaten a 1/4 of the pan already).
Delicious. Period.

Go make them. I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Yum! I think I will have to try them. You are making me want to go buy the ingredients right now! Did you use the wheat germ? I know I don’t have any of that even though my baby food book recommends wheat germ in EVERYTHING!

I did use the wheat germ! I had to buy the wheat germ (kinda expensive, like $6 for the jar), but I know I’ll get my moneys worth out of it. I’m totally making the granola again! james and i loved it! i’ll have to remember to ask you about the wheat germ in baby food! i want to know more about that!
xoxo.

You have tempted me. I copied down the recipe. I’m going to use dried bluberries and cranberries. Yum-o.
