My two
February 16, 2012Tink and Peter
November 3, 2011Our two little muffins had a very happy Halloween…

Can you STAND the cuteness?! I couldn’t…I know they’re my kids, but oh my goodness, they were ridiculously adorable! I seriously couldn’t handle it!
Ruby was so sweet this year,… she is the queen of dress-ups so a holiday that centered around dressing up was a dream come true for her! We went back and forth,…first she wanted to be Tinkerbell, then she’d switch to Aurora, then Ariel,…even after seeing Elliot’s Peter Pan costume, she then said she wanted to be Peter Pan! It was pretty sweet,…we decided on Tinkerbell (because really…is she not the sweetest little Tinkerbell you have ever seen?!). It truly was the perfect character for her. And I do believe little Elliot was a sweet little fit for Peter Pan!

After we decided on Tinkerbell and Peter Pan, I came across Make it and Love it’s website. Umm,…has anyone else heard of this girls website?! I must have been in the dark, but it is awesome! A ton of easy and free tutorials on practically anything you’d ever want to sew! And Ashley had just happened to have made Tinkerbell and Peter Pan costume’s for her kids a couple of years ago. Convenient, no?!
The tutorials were definitely easy to follow and understand,…a perfect starter for me, since I’m still new to sewing.
What a sweet little Halloween it was for us though,…more pictures of Ruby and Elliot to follow…
Thoughts and Little E
October 13, 2011Wow, it’s been two months since my last post. Where do I even start or how do I even explain these past two months, 4 months, 6 months?
As I type this little E is laying on our bed taking a nap. His little head just perked up as my seat creaked at the kitchen table. He’s such a light little sleeper…he jumps at any sound. So much different than Ruby was. You’d think it’d be the first child that was sensitive to sound and the second child would just go with the flow. But not little E,…maybe he’s demanding that one pleasure since he has been deprived of so many others? Oh sweet E,…he really is so truly loved, but what a whirlwind these days have been ever since he was born 6 1/2 months ago. What a treasure he is and how thankful I am to have him. He is a blessing. Those little chubby cheeks and that chin that I constantly want to nibble on. Did I tell you he has a little point to his tongue. It’s unbelievable and he sticks it out all the time. Oh I love him so. These past couple of weeks he’s begun scooting and trying to pull himself up to crawling position. It’s precious. And he rolls like a pro. He’ll be on one end of the room and then when I step out of the room and come back, he’s on the total opposite end. Sometimes hidden underneath the coffee table or jammed between the sofa and a toy. He’s getting so big and I don’t know if I’m ready for it. Just last week we gave him his first bowl of food,… a bowl of rice cereal. He devoured that bowl of cereal like he’d been deprived his whole life of real food (I guess he kinda, sorta had been). With every spoonful we fed him, he furiously grabbed our hands, with his head shaking determined to put that cereal in his mouth. When there was a break of no food and we’d go in for a second dip to fill the spoon up, he’d scream and get so frazzled as if to say, “Hurry! why are you taking so long?! I need more!”. In other words, we couldn’t get it in his little mouth fast enough. That little chunker. He likes his grub.
And now that little guy is awake,..wanting his momma. I can’t complain, he is precious and I am so thankful for the gift he is. Thank you, God for this precious little boy you’ve given me.
I hope to write more soon,…there have been so many thoughts flying through my brain that I’d love to get written down.
