After making our TOMS owl puppet, Ruby and I got inspired to make another puppet, but this time using a good, old fashioned toilet paper roll!

Our puppet ended up turning into a little alien girl/pig-tailed-hula girl which Ruby chose to name,…”RUBY!” Go figure,…

I forgot to take photos of us  in action making our little “RUBY!” puppet, but we basically cut halfway down the top of a paper roll, then cut horizontally on each side to make the arms, and lastly added a small cardboard circle (cut from another toilet paper roll) to make the face. We painted the roll pink (her request, as usual!) and after that, we just went crazy and decorated with the random scraps we have in our craft box!

It was another sweet activity to do with Ruby,…especially at the stage she’s at right now.

Ruby sometimes gets tired of the camera,…I’m sure this is the plight of all momma bloggers!

At the end of our puppet crafting, I set up a little curtain with our cloth napkins and tried to show Ruby how to do a puppet show. Didn’t work too well,…but she had fun with it!
