A Wreath Re-Do,…Thanks.

November 21, 2011

Since Halloween has ended and my sweet little “boo” is out, I felt I needed a little “thanks” to decorate my door before all of the Christmas decorations come out! With a quick and easy little homemade bunting, I was able to spice up my felt yarn wreath.

I cut out a few triangles, wrote/cut out the word “thanks” onto some leftover felt, glued them onto my triangles, and then strung them along some embroidery thread.

The bunting totally doesn’t match my wreath,…but I think it was a sweet quick fix before the Christmas decorations take over our home! And it’s pretty cute.

Just a little “thanks”…to enjoy (and remind me!) every time I walk through our front door.

Bollywood Prom Invitations

June 9, 2010

So, this was a first. A first that I LOVED designing.

A friend of mine, who is a teacher and also advisor for prom committee, called and asked if there was any way I could design an invitation for their high schools prom event.

Bollywood was the theme (how fun is that?!) and they were having trouble finding an invitation that fit their style. I can see why, can’t you?! Not the typical “Night Under the Stars” theme. I hate to admit it, but I believe that may have been my prom theme back in the day. No personality or class,…but BOLLYWOOD, oh yea! So much character, color, ideas,…I loved it!

So after going back and forth for a bit, brainstorming ideas, we came up with this lovely elephant and flower design. I was in love. I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed making these invitations. Not only because they were my first prom invitations, but because they were SO unique, SO colorful, SO FUN to design and draw!

And the matching metallic orange envelopes,…divine!

So to The Bishops School and the sweet girls on prom committee, I loved working with you! Thank you for such a unique and wonderful opportunity!

Custom Gift Stationery

June 8, 2010

Custom Gift Stationery…such a special treat.

One of my favorite items to design, personalize, and package for the recipient.

Especially this dainty theme. The little birds and twigs are my favorite and so is the delicate, pale pinky-ness of it all!

The scalloped cut edge is a special touch too, not something I do often, but it adds so much!

And don’t get me started on black and white polka dots and pale pink! Ooooh la la!

You can find these for purchase here or you can contact me for more information.

A way to treasure that special keepsake: part II

May 16, 2010

In addition to Ruby’s birth announcements, I thought it would be nice to frame a few of the little things I created for Ruby’s 1st Birthday.

It was so fun to put this together,….

I filled the frame with a collection of things I made. The felt ladybugs that hung on the tree where we opened gifts, the invitation and envelope, cupcake toppers, and gift bag card…. I even used the clear cellophane wrapper from the gift bags for the background!

Click on the photos if you’d like to view closeups of the different sections.

Too much fun and SO sweet to hang in Ruby’s bedroom!

Ruby’s 1st Birthday- Invitations!

April 2, 2010

I fell in love with Ruby’s birthday invitations. The invitations are what inspired the rest of the party (theme, decorations, food,..) so it only seems fitting for this to be the grand finale post of her birthday celebration!

Sweet little ladybug invitation…

So fun to design,…

Hand drawn ladybug and flowers with hand drawn customization of Ruby’s name and “lovebug” wording.

I even designed a thank you card! Not that any thank you notes have been written yet. Sorry friends…they will come, soon. I promise. Cross my heart!

I was so happy with how these turned out.

Perfect for our precious little one year old! Happy Birthday, sweet Ruby!
